On the 31st, the last Saturday in August, we cleaned and weeded the dojo from early in the morning in preparation for the resumption of regular meetings in September. After that, each student worked on his or her own work for the calligraphy exhibition in November.
Some of the participants, some of whom were new to calligraphy, learned from Master Genryo what Zen calligraphy is, how to handle the brush and how to convey one's spirit to the tip of the brush and the paper.
