Tesshu re-issue No. 72 was published.

On the 31st, the last Saturday in August, we cleaned and weeded the dojo from early in the morning in preparation for the resumption of regular meetings in September. After that, each student worked on his or her own work for the calligraphy exhibition in November.

Why don't you and your child take a moment during your summer vacation to take a little peek into the world of Zen at a small, historic zazen meeting in a quiet residential area near Shinjuku? Sometimes the experiences we have in our childhood become memories that last a lifetime. We have planned this event in the hope of providing such an irreplaceable opportunity. On the day of the event, you will experience a short zazen session, a Zen talk by the abbot, and Zen calligraphy. Women will be on hand to provide support.

From January 15 to 19, 2025, we held our last winter Ango sesshin. Under the guidance of Master Genryo, five students participated in this year's training.

Tesshu Zenkai Calligraphy Exhibition was held.

On Saturday, July 6, after the morning service and congee sitting, the Tetsufukai Dojo held the Matoo Memorial Service at 6:30 a.m. The Dojo was decorated with a sign of the great master Omori Sogen Roshi. The ceremony began with the offering of rice gruel, the chanting of the Great Compassionate Incantation, the burning of incense, the recitation of the mantra, the recitation of the four koans of the vow, and the three acts of worship.

From April 16 to 20, 2025, we held the first sesshin for the new system. Under the guidance of Master Genryo, seven students practiced.
