Announcement: July "Zen Tea Gathering"
If you’ve ever wanted to try matcha at a tea ceremony but hesitated because you didn’t know the proper etiquette, we’ll explain the basics in the traditional tatami room at Kobo-in Temple in Nakano Ward, Tokyo—just a short distance from Shinjuku. At Kobo-in, we offer tea ceremony lessons as part of our Zen practice. Through a short 10-minute zazen meditation and the tea ceremony etiquette, you’ll experience the importance of focusing on each and every moment of “now.”
After that, please watch a demonstration of the actual thin tea ceremony and enjoy the main sweet and thin tea.
Fee: 1,500 yen (Advance registration required)
