Chinkokuzan of the Tenryuji School of Rinzai Zen Buddhism, located in Nakano Ward, Tokyo.KohoinThe Tesshu Zen Club, which is affiliated with the "Tesshu Zen Club," holds zazen meetings for the general public.
At Tesshu Zenkai, you can practice Zen through koan sangyo (Zen meditation), which is one of the characteristics of Rinzai Zen.
The center also offers sesshin, a five-day or one-week overnight Zen meditation practice, with a focus on "zanzens" conducted by practitioners who have been approved by a Zen master.
We have decided to open one of these sesshin days as an experience day for the general public (international and domestic).
General participants will not be able to engage in koan study, but we believe that there is much to be gained from a day of concentrated sitting. We hope you will join us.
